💙 Thank you to Tyler, Tyler and The Station Public House for hosting the event again this year. We are so grateful for your support.
💛 Thank you to our dedicated volunteers who work year-round to support students in AUSD. We are a completely volunteer-run organization and are grateful for the time and talents of our volunteer team.
💙 We are incredibly grateful for our Big Day of Giving donors. Thank you for valuing student enrichment programs in Auburn schools. Your donations allow AEF to fund Symphony Goes to School, Renaissance Faire and a long list of classroom resources through Educator Grants (such as sports equipment, art programs, reading materials, field trips). Your generosity makes a difference to local students.

✨ Early Giving for Big Day of Giving is officially underway!
The Big Day of Giving brings our community together for 24 hours to uplift local nonprofits—and we’re honored to be part of it. The Auburn Education Foundation depends on community support to fund meaningful enrichment opportunities in our schools. The educational resources we offer exist because of donors like you: Educator Grants, support for the Renaissance Faire and programs such as Symphony Goes to School.
Your gift makes a real impact for Auburn Union School District students and educators. Donations help provide:
📚 Funding for creative and engaging classroom projects
🎨 Expanded access to art, music, and STEAM learning
💡 Support for innovative ideas brought to life by educators
🏫 Resources that enrich our local schools
🌟 Opportunities that help students succeed and grow
No matter the amount, your contribution helps strengthen education in our community and invest in the next generation.
💚 Early giving is open now through May 7—be part of something powerful!

⭐ Big Day of Giving 2026 is just a few weeks away! As we approach Big Day- our biggest fundraiser of the year- on May 7, Auburn Education Foundation signs were spotted at the Auburn Union School District (AUSD) schools and District Office. AEF is participating in Big Day of Giving to raise funds for AUSD student enrichment activities and educator grants.
💚 This school year, AEF funded over $10,000 in activities for AUSD students, such as assemblies (Symphony Goes to School), behavioral supports (flexible seating and tools to keep students engaged), and classroom materials (engineering and exploration materials). When you support AEF, you create engaging educational experiences for students at all AUSD schools.

⭐ THANK YOU for supporting the Auburn Education Foundation (AEF), which is proud to fund AUSD educators during the 25-26 school year. AEF funds Educator Grants where AUSD staff are invited to propose what they need to enhance teaching and learning for our students. We'd like to introduce you to this year's grantees.
⭐ We'd like you to meet the AUSD Renaissance Faire, which is a long-running tradition for 7th graders in our district. Over twenty years ago, Shirley Paris, then a seventh-grade teacher, and parents Joyce Silva and Kim Casbeer organized a Renaissance Faire to create a “Living History” day. Parents, educators and community partners continue to offer the rich educational experience of Cain’s Crossing Renaissance Faire, at E.V. Cain School, each fall.
The faire has featured reenactments and demonstrations for Shakespeare and the Globe Theater, Hilltop Celts musicians, Blacksmith Brooke Collier of Coloma, Sterling Mercenaries weapons, drills and training swords and armor with Davenriche Martial Arts, the St. Ambrose Acting Group, Pirates on the high seas with Boles Buccaneers and High World Music with Joy Hope dancers and musicians.
Students and volunteers dress in 16th-century attire while enjoying crafts such as beeswax, embroidery, hair wreaths, pomanders and chainmail; “ambassadors" associated with Renaissance countries Italy, Germany and France; and games such as stilts, jousting, bocce ball, chess, checkers and backgammon. Students also enjoy historic walk-abouts of historic Renaissance personalities.
“The reason we all are committed to providing this event is to allow students to step back in history and experience the Renaissance by being fully immersed in hands-on experiences,” Paris said. “What I love most is how time slows down and kids get to be kids again. It is a day that students always remember.”
⭐ We couldn't do this without the generosity of the Auburn community. Thank you to those who have donated in support of AEF and our local TK-8 students. We are so grateful.

⭐ At Auburn Elementary, educator Emily Prewitt was awarded a grant for calming spaces for classroom breaks. This project will create structured classroom break spaces and provide portable break kits for campus monitors to support student self-regulation across our TK–8 campus. The goal is to help students manage emotions, reduce behavioral incidents, and maintain readiness for learning.
Each classroom will receive a Break Kit with sensory and calming tools such as stress balls, fidget items, therapy putty, emotion charts, and visual timers. Classrooms will also have a small, designated area for short, structured breaks where students can calm and refocus.
Campus monitors will receive portable Break Kits containing quick-access tools—such as bubbles, stretch bands, and emotion cards—to support students during recess, lunch, and transitions.
Together, these materials will create a consistent, supportive system that promotes emotional regulation, positive behavior, and a safe, inclusive school environment.

⭐ At Auburn Elementary, educator Sara Liebert was awarded supplies for every student in grades TK-8 to participate in a science and art project, tie-dyeing a T shirt. Organizing a tie-dye event for students TK-8 incorporates STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math) principles while creating opportunities for teamwork, kindness, and creative expression. Students learn about the science of dyes, color mixing, and resist techniques as they create wearable art.

⭐ At Auburn Elementary, educator Jill LeBeau was awarded a grant for flexible seating and sensory tools for students.
