Wouter de Bruin chose to do a 3 month Gap Study program at Green River College. He lived on campus at Campus Corner Apartments and took philosophy, sociology and criminal justice classes.
When asked about his time at GRC he said,
“I had a great time! I am looking forward to exploring the area a bit more before returning home for the holidays.”

“My Gap Year was a really great experience. I had loads of fun and made friends with people from all over the world… If you are debating on whether to take a Gap Year, Green River is definitely a great place to go!”

Did you know that Kiki used to be a Gap Year student at Green River College? She loved it so much here that she stayed for her Associates. She then transferred to Minnesota State, Mankato and received her bachelors and masters in Communication. Afterwards, she went on to get her PhD at Arizona State in Communication.
What is her full circle moment? She is now teaching part-time at Green River College.
Kiki gives new meaning to “Once a Gator always a Gator”.

We were so pleased to welcome Jelle Draper to Green River College this week. Jelle is not only a Gap Year Alum but also helps us with marketing our programs in Europe. You may have met him at some of the fairs. He offers a unique perspective when it comes to promoting Green River College because he experienced it firsthand.
Mike McIntyre joined us in one of the photos. He was the original marketer for Europe and he pioneered international programs.
