I have raised and bred about 9 different species of Mantis...
This is only species I have ever seen guard its oothec (eggsac) hrs after laying it. I guess its normal for Gorochovi to guard them for the first couple of days, where as most other mantis species just wander off afterwards and go back about their normal business.
Thought it was pretty cool and wanted to share a fun fact I recently learned about these guys!
Also, with the way this case looks, I'm almost certain the pairing was successful! So we should have babies in the next few weeks as long as I have the proper temps/humididty for it to hatch 🙏
