Teacher's Discovery World Language realized that in the digital world we could provide twenty times the content for the same cost as one piece of physical material. Twenty times! We were delighted and embraced the opportunity of more stuff for the same price for students, teachers, and taxpayers. We knew that readers (short books and stories written specially for WL classes) were very effective. But they were expensive. $8 a copy or $250 dollars for a class set of 30 that the teacher had to pass out each time and pick up at the end of the class. So, we put together 250 different short books especially written for WL classes on a digital platform we called Flangoo... all for the price of less than ONE print book! Cool books about Frida, Don Quijote, Kobe Bryant, Lorena the indigenous ultra marathoner who beats the pros running in her sandals and dress, the real stories of undocumented immigrants, Chupacabra ghost stories, pirate tales, mysteries, Day of the Dead, Carnival, German festivals and more written at the level of first second and third year students
