Our annual Food Truck Project was a success yesterday! Students worked for the past month creating a theme and business plan, menu and pricing list, and researching food truck regulations by state. Yesterday, students prepared one item off their menu and teachers came by to sample and judge!

Ms. Erin Lewis WorkBased Learning students have been actively involved in taking inventory, creating surveys for school merchandise, working on spirit shirt designs, and designing and creating customizable game day pins for sale. Their work so far demonstrates creativity, organizational skills, and a focus on meeting customer needs through market research. Our WBL students are looking forward to being able to create, market, and sell WC merchandise to the student body, staff, and community in the coming weeks

We've had a busy couple of weeks in Culinary Arts! Super proud of their progress!

Culinary 2 has prepared cheese balls and pinwheels as part of our Cold Platters unit. They made Stir Fry last week for a review Knife skills unit.

Culinary 1 prepared Buffalo Cauliflower Bites, Fries with Fry sauce, and homemade chips and salsa. They've been learning knife skills and practicing baking and deepfrying!

Favorite lab this week!

Culinary 2 students made charcuterie boards this week. Students practiced knife skills, plating, and presentation. We also discussed how to mix and match ingredients to create the perfect bite! So proud of this group and their progress!

So proud of our Chefs-in-training this week. Our Culinary 2 class has spent the past month learning about menu design, pricing methods, recipe costing and business licensure in food service. We ended this unit with a Food Truck project where students designed their own concept. The past 2 days they each prepared a dish off their menu and our admin came down to sample and judge. The Food Truck competition was a huge success!
