✨Introducing the SOAR Spotlight Series✨

At SOAR, we believe some of the most powerful lessons come from hearing the stories of those who are actively navigating college, careers, leadership, and life.

Through this series, we’ll be highlighting students, alumni, fellows, and emerging leaders who are making an impact in their communities.

To kick off our first spotlight, we’re proud to feature Elijah Dupigny, a SOAR Fellow and junior Economics & Philosophy major at Morehouse College from Brooklyn, New York.

As a first-generation college student, Elijah describes his journey through college and adulthood as both rewarding and humbling. One of the biggest lessons he’s learned is that while you can’t always control what happens to you, you can control how you respond.

That mindset has helped him remain ambitious, resilient, and adaptable through life’s challenges. He credits the mentors and leaders who poured into him, challenged him to grow, and taught him that confidence comes from preparation and authenticity. Because of their impact, Elijah strives to lead with purpose while creating opportunities for others to do the same.

When asked why programs like SOAR matter, Elijah shared that every student’s journey is different. He believes students deserve access to guidance, support, and opportunities that help them discover their strengths, explore their interests, and define success on their own terms.

Welcome to the SOAR Spotlight Series. This is just the beginning.
