As Monday comes to a close and we get ready for Tuesday, you better keep this in mind. There’s no trophy or raise given for being stressed, anxious, exhausted, and burnt out.
Think about that before you get out the bed tomorrow. Protect your peace.
“Each time a woman stands up for herself, without knowing it, perhaps without claiming it, she stands up for all women” - Maya Angelou

🤣😂😩 I mean wouldn’t it be nice. Especially because the gov’t uses my gross to determine my student loan payments every year and not my net😒. While you’re at it, feel free to take care of my too. I pay late every year😬.

Giving birth is pretty awesome because you really get to meet these little people for the very first time. I anticipated who you both would be. My prayer is that Jon and I steward over our children as God intended. My little nuggets I'm glad that God chose me to be your mom.
This was quite the birthday. Long gone are the days of taking a shot to celebrate with the girls. Instead things got turned up in the delivery room with shots of pitocin 🥴. On Wednesday morning the newest nugget in the crew arrived. Noelle Harper René Hardy came on the scene at 5lbs 13 Oz and 18.5 inches. 🥳 I’m blessed to have had a fairly easy pregnancy and to have a had a quicker laboring experience than last time 🙏🏽🙌🏽
For 36 years I’ve heard my mom tell the story, over, and over, and over...and over again 😑 about how I was born on her birthday. Now I get to hear that story, and the one about how her granddaughter was born on her birthday too 😂. So happy belated birthday to my mom as well 🎂 Thanks for selflessly enduring birthing pains on your special day for me. Mom, now you can tell Noelle the story every year.

When you think you aren’t enough, remember that you alone are MORE than enough. Knowing that you are enough is a decision. When you realize that you’ll stop working so hard to prove that to everyone else, and you’ll start to unapologetically begin to feel worthy and safe in your own skin.

I’ve been seeing more people suffer from career burnout over the last 7 months or so. Working in the midst of a pandemic, or working remotely where the lines of home are blurring in ways you never imagined can definitely take its toll.
Do not forget to take time for yourself. is necessary to relax, refresh, and assess where this burnout is stemming from so that you can address it and find a strategy to end it.
For some of you, this is one of those blessings that comes with working remotely. Especially not having to deal with this a day after the election.

When you have the experience, the skills, and the proof that you’re worth more than what they’re offering you, make sure you don’t leave the conversation without negotiating salary or other potential perks.
I recognize the workplace climate that we are in, but here is one thing to remember - you can be grateful to currently have a job/career, or be offered a job AND know that you deserve the raise, promotion, title change, etc. Those two things are not mutually exclusive.
