Spring is a great time for Suzuki Spirit 🌞

Today one of our Infant classrooms had a Heritage Day! Each infant brought in a book celebrating their family’s heritage. We learned about Jamaican, West Indian, Chinese, Irish, African American, Filipino cultures, holidays, and traditions - to name just a few! 🇯🇲 🇨🇳 🇮🇪 🇺🇸 🇵🇭

Suzuki Parents keep an eye out for our most recent Lunch and Learn on nurturing healthy eating habits from the start, led by our very own Child Development Specialist, Aileen Jackman. The recording will be in this Friday’s Suzuki Blast.

February is Black History Month! While we celebrate each other every day, this time of year gives us an opportunity to recognize some amazing Black people while using our creativity with the children. It is always our goal to continue the work of diversity, equity and inclusion with our entire Suzuki community but most importantly our students, as they are pioneers for the future!

Motivators. Innovators. Believers. Teachers. We are celebrating Teacher Appreciation week at our Ponce City Market campus. Whether you’re a teacher or a caregiver who never thought they’d be at home with virtual learners- thank you! You are superheroes.

Our teachers are stellar. They are the heart and soul of our school. Today, after over 20 years, one of Suzuki’s most tenured teachers is heading to retirement. Thank you for your service to our school Ms. Vera! You have made an impact on so many young children - we will miss you!

From nature walks to YouTube story-times, to virtual circle times and Zoom dance parties - Suzuki Teachers and Associates have been working hard to send as much quality content and support as possible to our wonderful families. It’s been amazing to watch our teaching community pivot so quickly, learning new skills daily to interact with our students and parents. Thank you to our Teachers and Associates for your relentless work ethic and thank you to our families for your unwavering support. We can’t wait to be together on the other side of this - a stronger community than ever!
