As the United States approaches its 250th anniversary, GGC is launching a new video series exploring the evolution of American life. Through perspectives from faculty across all five of the college’s schools, the series examines the evolution of music, taxation, education, technology and nursing.

"I love working with people. I want to make a difference in people’s lives in health care, specifically oncology."
Shaped by her father's experience with pancreatic cancer, GGC alum Shelby Welgoss, '24, set her sights on a future in health care. She found her passion for health science and patient navigation at GGC, and is now pursuing a master's in public health while working toward launching a pancreatic cancer awareness foundation in her father's honor.

Wednesdays are for walking 🚶🌳 Through a partnership with Gwinnett County Parks and Recreation, exercise science students at GGC are helping local seniors stay active through weekly walks and wellness sessions, gaining valuable, hands-on experience along the way.

Congratulations to GGC School of Health Sciences graduate Kyla Mesa for representing the college at the University System of Georgia's Academic Recognition Day last month!
Mesa was one of just 26 students selected across the system for her outstanding academic achievement and was recognized with a formal resolution from the Georgia House of Representatives.
