Yesterday, our 4th Grade students shared the results of their month-long exploration into immigration to America during our Immigration Program showcase. 🇺🇸
Throughout their journey, students investigated the reasons people immigrate and the challenges and triumphs they experience along the way. By interviewing faculty, staff, and their own family members, they gained personal insights into the immigrant experience.
In an effort to support and enhance this experience, students used the innovative Design Thinking process to identify key challenges and collaboratively develop thoughtful prototypes to address them.
Kol HaKavod to our students for demonstrating creativity, empathy, and meaningful problem-solving in action! ✨

50 years later… and it felt like no time had passed ✨
The Class of 1976 reunited at AJA this past Sunday, with nearly the entire class in attendance, along with several of their teachers. Over brunch and a campus tour, they reconnected, shared stories, and revisited the memories that shaped their Hebrew Academy experience.
For many, it was their first time back at the school, and seeing each other, in five decades. A truly special day!
Interested in planning a reunion for your class? Reach out to Ryan Hyman, Director of Development, to get started.

Yesterday, we came together as one community to celebrate Yom HaAtzmaut! 🇮🇱
From delicious treats and arts and crafts to dancing, games, and a full community celebration, the day was filled with unity, pride, and appreciation for our beautiful Medinat Yisrael.
We are truly grateful for the opportunity to celebrate this meaningful day together, strengthening our connection to Israel and its people within our school community. Of course, none of it would have been possible without the dedication of our AJA faculty and staff, who worked so hard to ensure our students had an unforgettable experience.
Israel is always in our hearts here at AJA.
U’le’tiferet Medinat Yisrael!

In collaboration with B98.5, Delta Community is proud to honor outstanding educators. This month, we celebrate Sangeeta Shukla from Atlanta Jewish Academy as our Featured Teacher.
Mrs. Shukla teaches science to 5th and 6th grade students and brings joy, kindness and excitement into her classroom. From greeting students with a warm smile in the hallway to making lessons about the sun and stars come to life, she creates an environment where students feel welcomed and inspired to learn. Her compassion extends beyond the classroom as she looks out for her students and supports them in meaningful ways. Whether offering encouragement or simply brightening someone’s day, Mrs. Shukla makes every student feel seen and cared for.
Join us in congratulating Mrs. Shukla for the incredible impact she has on her students and school community.

Yesterday, we commemorated Yom HaZikaron, Israel’s Memorial Day, honoring the fallen soldiers of the IDF and victims of terror.
Students led a moving memorial tekes, attended by 5th-12th grade students, faculty, staff, and distinguished guests. Together, we listened to stories of loss and resilience, taking time to remember those who paid the ultimate price in defense of Israel.
As we reflect on the sacrifices made by the brave men and women who have defended, and continue to defend, our homeland, we are reminded of the deep unity and enduring strength that define Am Yisrael.
We are especially grateful to Eitan Weiss, Consul General of Israel to the Southeast, for joining us.
Am Yisrael Chai. 🇮🇱

We proudly announce that senior Gila Sadinoff has been named a Stamps Scholar at Georgia Institute of Technology, one of the most prestigious merit-based scholarships in the country.
Selected from a highly competitive applicant pool, Gila’s recognition places her among the top 1% of admitted students. Of approximately 43,000 Early Action applicants to Georgia Tech, only 50 students are ultimately awarded the Stamps Scholarship.
The Stamps Scholarship recognizes students who demonstrate exceptional academic achievement, leadership, and character. The award provides a comprehensive full-ride, covering tuition, housing, meals, books, and fees, along with additional funding for enrichment opportunities, leadership development, and global experiences.
“Gila represents the very best of Atlanta Jewish Academy,” said Rabbi Avi Levitt, Head of School. “She is an exceptional student, a talented choreographer and dancer, and a deeply compassionate individual. Her intellectual curiosity and commitment to others set her apart.”
During her time at Atlanta Jewish Academy, Gila has distinguished herself through academic excellence and meaningful engagement in school life. Her accomplishments reflect a balance of intellectual rigor, creativity, and character, hallmarks of both the AJA experience and the Stamps Scholars program.
Following a year in Israel studying at Midreshet Lindenbaum, Gila will attend Georgia Institute of Technology in the fall of 2027. Gila shared: “I am excited to pursue aerospace engineering while also exploring dance and travel opportunities at Georgia Tech. I’m especially looking forward to joining the Jewish community on campus.”
Gila's achievement is a proud moment for the entire AJA community and a powerful reflection of the school’s mission to develop students who excel, lead with integrity, and make a meaningful impact on the world.
