Join us at our Free Library Launch Party! We’re celebrating with candy, costumes (not required), and a free book for every person.

This event will be festive and full of treats, and extra special because our Students to Scholars kids are donating free library post to the Vine City and English Avenue neighborhoods. The post will be a place where anyone can take a book for free, enjoy it, and then return it, or donate a book for someone else to discover.

Come by to enjoy some candy, pick out a book, and help us celebrate this new neighborhood treasure!

Dear S2S Families & Supporters,

We’re excited about the continued growth happening here at Students to Scholars! We’re thrilled to share that our website is getting a little behind-the-scenes tune-up. As we continue to grow and improve, we’ve been working hard to make sure all parts of our program, including our digital home, are running smoothly and serving our community well.

To complete this round of updates, our website will be temporarily down for maintenance from June 27 through July 1. During this time, you may experience limited or no access to the site, but don’t worry, it’s only temporary!

This short pause is part of a larger effort to strengthen the foundation of our work and ensure that families, supporters, and future partners can find what they need easily and reliably when visiting us online.

As we head into week 2, here are some highlights of what happened last week. During our first week, the students started their summer journals, which they'll keep adding to over the next 6 weeks to tell the story of their summer "Beyond the Books". Some made LED gel candles, and others learned what an archaeologist is, digging dinosaurs out of clay eggs, figuring out which one they found, and reading all about it on the info cards.

Day two's highlight activity was creating "Tall Tales" by choosing 10 random pieces and including them in their stories.

Our Summer Literacy Program Kicks Off Monday, June 9!

As a reminder, we’re gearing up for our summer literacy program, and it officially begins on Monday, June 9th and takes place every Monday & Tuesday from 1 PM – 5 PM. We're still in need of volunteers to help us lead activities and support our students.
Whether you can give one day or commit to a few weeks, your presence matters more than you know. Please email us at adminatstudents2scholars.com if you would like to volunteer this summer and be part of this great program.
