My xylophone group wanted to take on Human Nature by Michael Jackson, and not only did they learn it… they arranged it themselves. Every layer, every part, every musical decision came from their creativity and collaboration. This is THEIR arrangement. 👏🏾🎼
As their Orffrageous teacher, moments like this remind me why I believe so strongly in student-led music making. These students are not just learning notes — they are becoming musicians, arrangers, creators, and leaders. And next month in June… they’re headed to Carnegie Hall. 🖤✨

Orffrageous Publications was founded in 2013 by Chelsea Cook. The venture came about as an experiment with Cook’s Elementary Orff ensemble (The Dynamic Dolphins) where a witty arrangement of “Sleigh Ride” took them on a incredible journey all the way to the White House in December, 2012; thus making history as the youngest and first xylophone ensemble to perform at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. Since then, Cook’s arrangements have been in high demand across the nation.
