OMED Edge Program

OMED Edge Program The Edge program is a year long program that begins every school year. An Edge leader is assigned to a group of participating students.

This program is designed to support freshmen and transfer students (both academically and socially) through their first school year at Georgia Tech. This mentor is an upperclassman who will be responsible for helping incoming students get adjusted to their first two semesters. During the school year, leaders will provide help with tutoring, class registration, study habits, and a wide variety of 1

st year issues in order to give you an edge at Georgia Tech. In addition to networking with experienced Tech students, throughout Edge you will:

• Set goals and make a plan to get the most out of your college experience.

• Learn about available resources on campus.

• Participate in study sessions, study groups, and academic workshops.

• Discover scholarship workshops and job opportunities

• Discuss study abroad, research, internships, and co-ops with experienced Tech students and departmental staff.

• Receive peer and staff advice at any time.
