A Graphics Processing Unit (GPU) is a circuit that speeds up the process of creating images and improves the quality of animations, videos and images you see through your computer or laptop. They make sure that both images and videos are displayed properly on your screen.

The CPU (Central Processing Unit) is the main processor that runs a computer's operating system and apps. There are many kinds out there. A CPU must contain at least one processing core, but some contain multiples.

A motherboard is the main circuit board in a computer or laptop (not to be confused with logic boards, which are located in phones, tablets and other small devices). It provides power to all the internal components of the unit, like the processor, graphics card, memory and other hardware. It also allows them to communicate with one another.

There are 5 major components of a computer:

- Motherboard
- Central Processing Unit (CPU)
- Graphical Processing Unit (GPU)
- Random Access Memory (RAM)
- Storage Device
