We can’t wait to meet our future AIM families! ✨

At AIM, we don’t wait for kids to figure it out on their own. In 6th grade, we put them in the room. We let them touch the equipment. We introduce them to the people who do the work.

And then we ask: “What do YOU think?”

Curiosity doesn’t need a permission slip. It needs an opportunity.

Here’s the pipeline your child enters at AIM:

▪️6TH GRADE: Weekly micro-labs, healthcare case studies, Intro to Healthcare Careers rotation, and every Friday in AIM Lab connecting with Grady Health System through clinical challenges and speaker seminars.

▪️9TH GRADE: Clinical shadowing at Grady. The Teen Experience and Leadership Program. Real-world healthcare science coursework.

▪️11TH GRADE: Students join Grady staff.

That pipeline starts in 6th grade. Not 9th. Not after college. In 6th grade.

Grady Health System is growing their own — and your child can be one of them.

🔬 Science.
đź’» Technology.
⚙️ Engineering.
âž— Math.
🩺 Medicine.

That second M is not a typo. It’s a whole career path most schools leave out.

While STEM schools teach your child to code and calculate, STEMM schools teach them to code, calculate — AND heal.

At AIM, that second M means your 6th grader isn’t just learning science. They’re learning what science looks like inside a hospital. Inside a lab. Inside the career that keeps every community alive.

Medicine isn’t a college decision. It’s a middle school discovery.

Imagine your 6th grader coming home and saying, “We ran a simulation lab today.”

Not “We read chapter 4.”
Not “We watched a video.”

That’s what 6th grade at AIM sounds like.

Your child’s spot in the founding class is waiting. 🔗aimgeorgia.org

AIM is a free, public charter school in Atlanta where 11-year-olds begin building the skills, language, and confidence of future healthcare professionals — while still learning everything a 6th grader should learn and more.

Enroll your child in the founding class đź”—aimgeorgia.org

Every single core class at AIM — ELA, Math, Science, Social Studies — follows the same lesson structure every day:

1. Foundation — building background knowledge and vocabulary
2. Direct Instruction — clear teaching with guided practice
3. Student-Centered Application — problem-solving, labs, writing, seminars, and collaboration
4. Debrief — exit ticket tied to the standard

Teachers check for understanding every 10–12 minutes. Small-group differentiation is built into every lesson. And if your child doesn’t master something? Re-teach and redo are normal — because at AIM, mistakes are data, not failure.

This is what rigorous, loving, purposeful instruction looks like for a 6th grader.
