This includes 68 elementary, 18 middle, and 18 high schools, 23 specialty schools and centers, and 8 charter schools. This , we’re recognizing Bullying Prevention Month by reminding our students that healthy friendships and dating relationships are built on kindness, trust, respect, and emotional safety.

Bullying, threats, pressure, and controlling behavior are warning signs of an unhealthy relationship. Recognizing these behaviors is an important part of building positive connections with others.

📰 | AP Participation and Performance Continue to Grow!

More DCSD students are taking Advanced Placement (AP) exams, and a greater percentage of exams are earning scores of 3 or higher! 📈

Results from the 2025–2026 school year show:

📘 7,467 AP exams taken, an increase of 4.9%.
🎓 4,606 exams earning scores of 3 or higher, an increase of 12.1%.
📊 61.7% of exams earning a 3 or higher, up from 57.7% in 2025 and 51.8% in 2024!

The progress extends across our schools, with 15 DCSD high schools increasing AP exam participation and 17 improving their percentage of exams earning scores of 3 or higher.

“We are encouraged by the growth in both AP exam participation and performance across our district,” said Superintendent Dr. Norman C. Sauce III.

These results represent more opportunities for students to challenge themselves academically, prepare for college-level coursework, and build skills that support their future success.
