As You Like It Quilts

This is the first rug I’ve made with a quilted center and I love it. Mostly because it’s flat!! Now to find an Old Miss fan who needs a rug…..

Had the opportunity to hear Ricky Tims talk at Uncommon Threads quilt guild in Memphis last night. The presentation was wonderful and he brought “the quilt”!

New product added to the shop! Anybody need a custom rug? Just pick your colors. They are so much fun to make.

I’m spending some time this week making a resolution list. Actually it’s turning out to be a giant “to do” list! Scheduling time with family just because—not just when somebody’s sick or grands need a sitter is first—I didn’t do enough of that last year and they’re getting older and I’m not getting any younger!

Self-care also tops the agenda—Anybody do chair yoga? Ads are blowing up my personal Facebook feed, recommendations?

Working on building a client base is next—I’ve got 2 Tshirt and 2 repair quilts in the pipeline. I hope setting some regular “work” hours will help add some structure and discipline to my days, plus shorten my turnaround times.

I’ve gotta attack my UFOs this year. I’m pulling them all out and making a list. I’m going to start at the top and work my way through—If I acknowledge all the ones I have, maybe I will avoid being distracted by all the new pretties that catch my eye!

I finished up the first one yesterday—It was pretty easy but they’re not all that way.

Loved making this baby quilt for a dear family friend’s first child! I have to get better about taking photos of the finished product, but this is the topper before binding.

Had such a wonderful time at the Mississippi Quilt Association Spring Gathering and seeing a beautiful quilt exhibit at Laurel Roger’s Museum of Art that I was feeling inspired! Here are some results of late night block planning party!

Life has changed a bit since the last page updates, but helping to make one of my granddaughters a future quilter is added to the to-do list!

2020 year in Review
