We are still planning to gather for the Reunion on 8/27, but we understand the current public health situation is fluid for attendees and for the venue. To educate your decision on whether or not to attend, we’ve provided more information on the gathering and the venue in the post below.

Hueytown High School Class of '90 and '91 Reunion 30th and 31st (thanks Covid-19) Reunion for the HHS Class of '90 and '91

Following is an important update about our upcoming combined reunion with the Class of ‘91.

As a reminder, the reunion will be hosted in conjunction with the Birmingham Barons home game, Friday night, August 27th at 6:30 pm. Your ticket includes the price of admission to the game and dinner. There will be a cash bar.

The reunion will move forward as scheduled, as long as the venue is not required to alter their plans for the game and remains open the evening of the 27th.

Should the event be cancelled by the venue, you will receive a refund according to the policies listed in eventbrite.

In order to protect against transmission of the delta variant of COVID-19, the venue has many measures in place. We’ve requested that the venue provide servers for our buffet dinner to avoid cross contamination and handling of serving utensils.

We understand each family is mitigating their risk individually and we regret that this public health issue still affects our ability to reminisce and visit with our classmates. However, we do recommend that you consider the risks associated with any outdoor gathering and prepare accordingly.

Class of 1990, after much hope for a different outcome and careful consideration, the reunion committee has unanimously voted to postpone the 30th reunion and plan for a 31st year reunion.

Pre-purchased tickets will be refunded by the end of the month, minus the nominal EventBrite service fee.

Please know our hopes and prayers are with you and your families to remain safe and well.

Hueytown Class of ‘90, we need your feedback. We are beginning to plan the 30th Class Reunion. Please help us spread the word.
