Oh what a great day it is to be a Ram! We ended the 2025-2026 year in style and with class during our 3rd Annual “Rammy Awards.” Congratulations to our amazing faculty and staff and we salute our Ram-Retirees! We hope you all have a safe and restful summer! Remember Be Hard to Beat! 🎉💙🐏

The Newton High School Class of 2026 understood the assignment!

This remarkable senior class earned an astounding $78,775,931 in academic, athletic, and HOPE scholarships!

And the Rams are rising into bright futures:

📚 328 seniors are continuing their education at colleges and universities
🔨 322 are entering the workforce
⭐ 11 are stepping forward to serve in the United States military

From college campuses to career pathways to military service, the Newton Rams are leaving their mark and showing what excellence looks like. The future is bright, and this class is ready for it!

RAMS RISE!

Newton County Schools is proud to celebrate Newton High School senior Brennon Blount on being selected for the prestigious Georgia All-State Chorus — one of the highest honors a student vocalist can achieve. 🎶

Chosen through a highly competitive audition process involving more than 7,000 students statewide, Brennon earned his place among Georgia’s top young vocalists for the second time in his high school career.

His dedication, talent, and passion for music continue to make Newton High School and the entire Newton County Schools community proud. Congratulations, Brennon, on this outstanding accomplishment!

Newton County Schools is proud to celebrate our three high schools for earning multiple 2026 AP Honor School recognitions from the Georgia Department of Education! 🎉

Alcovy High School, Eastside High School, and Newton High School were all recognized as AP Access & Support Schools and AP STEM Schools for expanding opportunities in rigorous coursework while supporting strong student achievement.

In addition, Eastside High School earned four additional AP Honor School distinctions for excellence in humanities, STEM achievement, and overall AP performance.

These recognitions reflect the incredible work of our students, teachers, counselors, and school leaders as they continue creating opportunities for academic success and college readiness across Newton County Schools.
