Educator Night is back on September 10 from 5–8 PM with this year’s theme: Mysteries at the Museum! ✨ Step into a night of intrigue, creativity, and fun as you put your detective skills to the test solving an art-inspired mystery throughout the museum. Educators will have the chance to enjoy food, swag bags, surprise freebies, and more! 🤠

LUNCHROOM LIFESAVERS: We always love welcoming 11Alive reporter Kaitlyn Ross to the Bartow County School System! Jeran's story will air soon, and we'll share the details as soon as they're available. We can't wait for you to see how Kingston Elementary School Assistant Principal Mary Payne and Teacher Ashley Gibbs sprang into action, using their quick thinking and training to help save Jeran's life.

FARM FRESH SUCCESS: We are proud to be recognized as a 2026 Gold-Level Farmer Champion by The Common Market!

From September 2025 through May 2026, Bartow County Schools purchased $14,311 in local food from The Common Market's network of small and mid-sized farms, bringing fresh, locally grown foods to our cafeterias while supporting Georgia farmers and local communities.

Last school year, students enjoyed strawberries from Sonrise Farm (Winder), apples from B.J. Reece Orchards (Ellijay), and peaches from Pearson Farm (Fort Valley), connecting them with nutritious foods grown close to home.

This recognition reflects the dedication of our School Nutrition team and their commitment to serving fresh meals while investing in local agriculture. We're honored to receive this award and grateful for the partnerships that make it possible.

REGISTER TODAY: The Downtown Cartersville 5K, along with the 1K Fun Run, supports Backpack Buddies by helping provide food for students in both Cartersville City and Bartow County schools.

Not a runner or walker? No problem. Register as a Ghost Runner and still receive the event t-shirt while supporting a great cause.

Be sure to participate in our friendly competition between schools to see which school can register the most participants.

As the largest race in Bartow County, this event continues to make a meaningful impact because of the incredible support from our community. Thank you for always showing up for our students and helping make a difference!
