Piedmont Church is an outstanding supporter of local schools. Today, $36,000 was given to a multitude of schools. I really appreciate and commend all who helped this endeavor. They do many funding events to benefit the kids. Thank you ALL supporters who have helped make these events happen.

David Chastain is the Post 4 Representative to the Cobb County School Board. He and his wife, Lori, attended Cobb schools. Their three adult children, along with their spouses, all attended Cobb Schools.

Dowell Elementary was full of excitement this morning. I was honored to visit and see opening day! Lines were formed before the opening and the excitement kept up as the students and parents visited their classrooms.I was fortunate to see several old friends, students and teachers on my visit. New floors really looked good. GREAT START Dowell!!! I wish I took more pictures.
