Hi I'm Bri! im a 2nd year AE major and Spanish minor. I am the PR Officer for RRC and a member of the GTXR's Propulsion Team. A fun fact about me is that I have a blackbelt in Tae Kwon Do. My favorite memory on the team: oddly enough it was working on the rocket for basically an entire day in the Mojave desert. It's a lot of hard work, but the learning experience and people make it all well worth it. To prospective members: this club is one of the best ways to get involved, build your resume, and overall have fun. ive gained so much hands-on experience and made some of my greatest friends here!

Here’s a message from GTXR’s Externals Team Lead:

Hey everyone! I'm a third year aerospace engineering major from Massachusetts. I joined RRC my freshman year, jumped on GTXR's externals team, and have been active ever since.

This year I've had a blast leading GTXR's externals team and developing Mr. Blue Sky's airframe which is designed to withstand flight at speeds past Mach 3! In the posted photo you can see our airframe sitting under vacuum at Delta Tech Op's facilities.

In the fall we designed a test rocket closer on the scale of HPR's rockets designed to observe the effects of fin flutter. It was a great experience to collaborate with my friends in HPR on that rocket, I love that we can share our resources and learn from each other all under one club. Before then I served as a treasurer for GTXR and also helped create our launch rail!

There have been a lot of late nights and stress over meeting deadlines but I am so grateful for the experience RRC has provided me. My time with the club has helped me learn how to be a better engineer and leader, and gave me the skills to secure my internship this summer. I'm looking forward to the rest of my time with RRC, especially GTXR's launch of MBS this summer. Mach 3 or Bust!

Take a look at the amazing work ✨HAB (High Altitude Balloons)✨ has been doing these past few months! They’re reaching new horizons every day, and this latest weather balloon reached an altitude of over 96, 000ft! With a launch later this month, they're hoping to capture more data and go even higher!

Here’s a message from HPR’s Team Lead:

Hi everyone! I’m a second year mechanical engineering student minoring in computer science. I’ve previously worked with much smaller model rockets and was looking to build larger rockets when I first came to Tech. I ended up finding the RRC and joined the High Powered Rocketry in Spring 2021. I love building rockets during my spare time and am looking to launch my National Association of Rocketry (NAR) Level 3 rocket in the upcoming month!

I launched my first rocket in February 2021 and attempted to get a Level 1 Certification. Unfortunately, this rocket never returned and was lost in the forest. It inspired me to work towards adding avionics to all my rockets. I was able to obtain my Level 1 Certification in April 2021 and received my Level 2 Certification roughly a month after.

Over the past few months, I’ve been working on creating a 10.5 foot tall Level 3 Rocket and am hoping to achieve the certification in the upcoming month. I’ve helped many HPR members construct their rockets over these past two semesters as the current HPR lead and am looking to continue being involved in the club throughout my time at Tech.

I really love being a part of such an amazing club and am grateful to have found the Ramblin’ Rocket Club during my first year. Looking forward to building many more rockets and seeing everyone else’s designs being launched in the near future!
