Thank you to everyone who helped make the Southern Crescent Technical College Foundation's annual Drive "Fore" Education Golf Tournament a tremendous success. This signature fundraising event brings together community leaders, business partners, and supporters who share a commitment to expanding educational opportunities for SCTC students. Proceeds from the tournament help support scholarships, student success initiatives, and workforce development efforts that strengthen the communities we serve.

This month, students, faculty, and staff across Southern Crescent Technical College’s Griffin, Henry, and Flint River campuses came together to walk in recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Our SCTC family walked in unity to raise awareness, honor breast cancer survivors within our college community, and show support for those currently battling the disease. It was a meaningful opportunity to celebrate the strength and resilience of our survivors while remembering those whose lives have been impacted by breast cancer.

A special thank you to our Men’s Basketball Team and everyone who participated in spreading a message of hope, strength, and solidarity. Together, we continue to make strides toward greater awareness and support! 💗

Southern Crescent Technical College is proud to recognize Dr. Muhammad Yaseen, Adjunct Chemistry Instructor, on the publication of his latest research in the Journal of Sulfur Chemistry.

Dr. Yaseen coauthored “Mn₃O₄-decorated CQDs/g-C₃N₄–NaOCl catalyst–oxidant system for oxidative desulfurization of fuel oils,” a study that explores innovative methods for removing sulfur compounds from transportation fuels under mild conditions. The research demonstrated approximately 93% sulfur removal, highlighting promising potential for cleaner fuel processing.

A respected educator and researcher, Dr. Yaseen brings extensive expertise in chemistry, environmental sustainability, and scientific innovation to Southern Crescent Technical College. His accomplishments reflect the high level of scholarship, professional excellence, and industry knowledge our faculty bring to the classroom every day.
