A few years ago, I was scrolling through Twitter (throwbacks 😅) when I saw this illustration of a Black fetus and froze. Why was this the first time I’d seen an image like this in medicine? After years of training, I can still count on one hand how many textbook illustrations reflect Black bodies like this one drawn by Chidiebere Ibe. Representation shapes how we learn, how we care, and what we accept as “normal.” #RepresentationMatters
