Fear shows up before the mic ever turns on. Before the camera lights up. Before you even say your name.
This week, we’re tackling something every speaker, leader, and professional experiences but rarely talks about out loud.
Controlling Your Fear
A modern conversation about confidence, visibility, and showing up even when nerves are present.
This is not about eliminating fear.
It’s about learning how to manage it, regulate it, and use it as fuel instead of letting it hold you back.
Whether you speak in meetings, on Zoom, on stage, or simply want to communicate with more confidence, this session is for you.
🗓 Next Meeting: February 12
⏰ Thursdays at Noon
📍 Online and In Person
Curious to learn more?
Want to practice controlling your fear in a supportive environment?
👉 Visit us this Thursday at noon and experience Toastmasters for yourself.
Guests are always welcome.

Remembering one of the most powerful and distinguished storytellers of our time: Toni Morrison.
Morrison's works often depict difficult circumstances and the dark side of humanity, but still convey integrity and redemption. The way she reveals the stories of individual lives conveys insight into, understanding of, and empathy for her characters.
She became the first African American woman to be awarded a Nobel Prize when she received the literature prize in 1993.

Hey! Did you know this??
There is an alternative to calling the police in Atlanta! ATL311 and PAD provide a way to connect people to care instead of law enforcement.
ATL311 partners with the Policing Alternatives & Diversion Initiative (PAD) to facilitate outreach to individuals experiencing quality of life concerns related to mental health, substance use, or extreme poverty. PAD responds to the following concerns: disturbances, public indecency, welfare, mental health, substance use, basic needs, and public health.
ATL311 and PAD are now open until Midnight. To make a referral, dial 311 (404-546-0311 outside city limits) and select option 3.

Our longtime CCTM member Dianne Bryant is known within the club as the kind of storyteller we all aspire to be. Last Tuesday she left the comfort and safety if our club to share a very relatable story about learning to appreciate our siblings at the Carapace monthly event…finding it also to be a very supportive environment too!
If you aspire to tell better stories while developing confidence as a presenter and leader with structured lessons and evaluation feedback, Toastmasters can help and Carter Center Toastmasters invites you to come see what we are about!
We are an almost 25 year old President’s Distinguished (highest status) club serving Carter Center employees and community members, of which President Carter was a charter member. Our meetings are in-person at The Carter Center and on Zoom every 2nd and 4th Thursday from 12-1pm.
DM for additional specifics so that we know to expect you and can help you have an enjoyable and anxiety-free first meeting experience.
