Congrats to our own Alex Soderstrom (Class of 2015) as he covers the Rose 🌹 Bowl as a sports editor covering UGA football for the Red and Black. He is sitting on the second row in the bottom pic. Super proud of our alums.

Wild and crazy day. Our 9th and 10th graders were victims of a poorly ran tournament. Instead of receiving the first and second place trophy for going 3-0 and 2-1 against JV opponents. A 1-2 team that left after round 6 was given 1st place. After questioning them and asking for clarification, they forced our top 2 teams to leave the semi-finals. I'm sorry for this experience that our students and parents had to endure. Our money will never be spent on another Woodland HS event.

Time to post our final events of the year. Varsity State is on March 25th at Flowery Branch (RRHS has finished 1st and 2nd respectively over the last 2 years). RRHS will be hosting the Cherokee County AB Championship on the evening of April 12th (RRHS has finished 1st the last 2 years). The final event of the year will be the NAQT Tournament in Atlanta (May 26th and 27th). We have now qualified for the 4th consecutive year.
We will be hoping to offset the $1000 registration fee and hotel expansions through donations. We have had many businesses help us in the past by supporting Cherokee's finest students. If you have any connections or know of a business that might be willing to help, please let us know.
