Attention We Need You:
Facebook is one of the greatest mediums for the dissemination of information whether we like it or not. Additionally, some people are private and hate exposing their personal life to the masses. Me included, but here I am. Humbly standing in the gap for Damon Johnson.
As you know Damon needs a kidney transplant. We have been quiet about this for awhile because the doctors informed us that he was being taken out of consideration for a transplant and removed from the list because of questions of whether his heart could sustain surgery or a new kidney. As you can imagine we were initially devastated, but as you also know if you know us, we were not daunted. As we walked out I looked at them, smiled, thanked them, passed out some hugs, Damon told some jokes and we both said to them we hear you but...WE STILL BELIEVE.
We left that transplant meeting and I sat in my car and cried and scripted and prayed and had a talk with the universe. And hours later they called us back and said we don't want to give up hope either. WE BELIEVE! We will give it one more shot to see. But if this doesn't work there is nothing left to do.
If you know Damon you know if a play is called he is gonna run it flat out and hit hard on the gridiron and in life. He had one shot. He quietly went to work and did everything plus he was asked to do. Yesterday he got the call. HIS HEART IS GOOD BABY!!!!🤩🤩
So his spot on the list is reactivated and HE NEEDS A KIDNEY. In the next couple of days you will see a relaunch of our website seeking a live donor. Spread the word, get tested, if you pray pray, if you don't send good energy Damon's way.
WE BELIEVE!!!

Find A Kidney For Damon Johnson
Damon Johnson Needs a Kidney Transplant. Damon E. Johnson is a cancer survivor, writer, speaker, father, husband and friend and he needs your help. He needs you!
In 2004, months before our daughter was due, Damon was diagnosed with kidney cancer. Damon was a fighter on the gridiron at Savannah State College and took that same will to win into his battle for his life and came out victorious! However, as a result of cancer, Damon is on dialysis and he is in need of a living kidney donor. The average wait time on the donor list is 6 years and his life expecta
Normally Damon Johnson is a very private person, but he can't afford to be quiet any longer. As many of you know Damon is a kidney cancer survivor. As a result of losing his kidney to cancer he is on dialysis 3 days a week for 5 hours. He does all of that while working full time and being an active parent. He needs a kidney transplant. Today we are at his transplant reevaluation and after 3 years on the waiting list we just found out the new waiting time is 6-8 years! He is strong but every day is a fight. He has never wanted anyone to make any sacrifices for him, but he wants to live. He now has agreed to allow me, and anyone else who is willing to be tested to see if they are a match. We will be developing a website and page to pass the word on. In the meantime if you would like more information or are interested in being a donor you can contact me or his living donor coordinator Barbara O'Neal, RN 404-605-4128. Feel free to share this post.
We are finally up! Stay tuned for more info regarding live donor transplants.
