This special event pays tribute to the courageous leaders of the 1960s civil rights movement while raising funds to take a busload of young people to the 60th Anniversary of the Selma to Montgomery March. This annual journey offers students an unforgettable experience, where they’ll walk in the footsteps of history by re-enacting the crossing of the Edmund Pettus Bridge and immersing themselves in Alabama’s rich civil rights legacy.

🎤 Guest Speaker: The legendary Willie "Musaka" Ricks, a fearless civil rights activist who helped organize pivotal marches, co-founded the Black Panther Party, and popularized the iconic phrase "Black Power."

✨ Other Guests: Original members of the SCLC ground unit, sharing their firsthand stories and wisdom.

Highlights from yesterday's Party to the Polls Trunk or Treat collaboration with St. Paul AME Church YPD!!

College Readiness Tour 2024 is now complete. After Rent A Car on Courtland Street charged an astronomical amount to rent a 15 passenger van we were on our way. We toured 8 schools in 5 days all over Georgia. Mrs. Felicia Stanley Johnson was determined to make it happen lol 🤣.

This M.L.K Day weekend is busy. We had our first
M.A.D.I.O.C meeting of the year on Human Trafficking yesterday with Kerri Perisey as our guest speaker. And today we joined the YPD for the Cheryl Ferguson Freedom Concert. Tomorrow we are feeding the Seniors for our day of service. Busy busy busy!!! Felicia Stanley-Johnson
