Meet Caroline Barros, a student part of the dual BS/MS Biology program. She shares why she chose the program and how it supports her future goals.

🤔 Why did you choose dual BS/MS Biology program at GSU?
I chose this program because I wanted to diversify my applications and cv for medical school and professions. When I met Dr. Rene Pereza at the med fair, he introduced the program and it appealed to my medical interest, ultimately leading to my decision.

🧭 What motivated you to apply for the dual degree program?
In my junior year, the program was proposed to me by Dr. Carmen Eilertson after doing well in her other courses and so as a dual degree student, I would be able to get my first year of masters done in advance. Another appeal was the Zell Miller scholarship minimizing risk

🗓️ How does the dual degree program fit into your career plans?
The content is helpful for my physician aspiration and this program is helping me learn what it means to be in the medical field
