Hey FB Family ~ We need your help! Please SWYD & VOTE!!! Our summer is off to a great start - doing what we love to inspire, educate, and prepare young people for their next level! Our nonprofit, Black and College Bound has had some amazing interns who have been helping us create strategies to reach and support even more young people successfully plan for life after high school. Since 2008 we have been providing college coaching, ACT/SAT test prep, and college tours in partnership with youth-serving organizations, school districts, sororities/fraternities, and parent groups. 2020 shut college tours down and now ACT/SAT is "optional" (don't believe the hype..). Our amazing interns have been strategizing ways we can serve even more youth in all urban and rural areas keeping them informed, connected, prepared, motivated, and encouraged because let's face it the last 2 years have been difficult for them too! The top 3 pitch teams with the most votes on Friday, July 8 at 4:45 PM that are also registered with ProX will be selected to compete for a special $5,000 award.

Radio One and Delta Community Credit Union have partnered to offer $10,000 of scholarships in 2020 to current and admitted students of Georgia HBCUs. To enter, click the image that will take you to the Majic 107.5 / 97.5 webpage where you can submit a 100 word (or less) statement nominating a deserving student that attends or plans to attend a Georgia HBCU explaining why the student deserves or needs this scholarship. You may nominate yourself. Submissions must be received by 11:59 p.m. on July 1, 2020. Each remaining quarter (July, September, and December), a scholarship for $2,500 will be awarded to one student. Delta Community Credit Union will select one winner each quarter from among the most compelling submissions. Winners will be chosen after the contest period ends. Winners will be contacted by a representative from Delta Community and announced by Radio One on-air within 7 days after each contest period.
