Centennial parent Janet Kinard is opening her home to our parents/guardians who would like the opportunity to meet one of the candidates for the APS District 2 seat, Paula Kupersmith.
It’s important that we stay involved and connected with all parts of our educational systems and those who we elect to serve our children.
Note From Janet Kinard:
Dear friends and neighbors,
Please join me on Sunday, September 8th at 3-5pm to meet Paula Kupersmith, candidate for the Atlanta Board of Education District 2 seat. Paula brings years of experience to the table as a leader in our schools and neighborhoods as the right candidate to represent the diverse neighborhoods of District 2, which includes Home Park and our neighborhood school Centennial Academy.
Paula and I met years ago, when I served under her PTA leadership at Inman Middle School. We have stayed connected through her time working to support reopening David T Howard to be the middle school for Grady cluster, as she built support for Grady's robotics program and then took that success to other Atlanta high schools by finding crucial funding for programs. I have seen her passion for providing opportunities for STEM access to students across the district, including mentoring the Washington High School robotics team who went to a national championship last year. It is a passion I share through my work at my local schools and nonprofit organizations.
Take a moment to read Paula's bio and learn more about why she was recently endorsed by Georgia Equality. Join me to ask questions directly and share your concerns. Learn more about how she plans to continue engaging the community to support our public schools and provide educational opportunities for all students.
Please RSVP ([email protected]) for the address and so we can count you in! If you can't make it, Paula can be reached at 470-298-2010.
