On Sunday, our community came together to host the America 250 Art Show and Upper School Production in celebration of America’s semiquincentennial, commemorating 250 years of our nation’s history.

This celebration began with a school-wide visual art show displaying artwork, including American-themed pieces, from every student K-8 and all Upper School students in Studio Art. An inspiring pre-concert lecture followed, which presented the courageous and untold story of James Lafayette. The evening concluded with a moving theatrical production combining visual art, piano, strings, and choral performances that highlighted key moments in U.S. history. Watching our students share our nation’s story through art and music left us inspired and hopeful for the future!

Last Thursday, we celebrated the Class of 2030 at our fourth annual 8th Grade Convocation, a special night marking a milestone transition in our upper school at ACA. The evening featured student-led skits, heartfelt reflections and the presentation of student epithets. Given by their teachers, these epithets highlight the individual strengths and virtues each student brings to our community, offering a glimpse into the knowledgeable, virtuous citizens they are becoming.

We are so proud of each of these students and the impact they have made during their time at ACA. We can't wait to welcome them to high school next year!

Our spring season recaps continue! Today, we spotlight our high school soccer teams.

Our varsity boys’ soccer team put together an impressive season marked by grit, determination, and resilience. The Cavs stunned the No. 3-ranked team in the state in the opening round of the GHSA State Playoffs before falling in the Sweet 16. Under the leadership of Coaches Heiskell and Ham, the team was well prepared and represented ACA with pride throughout the season. They will look to build on this momentum heading into next year.

Our girls’ soccer team earned the No. 2 seed out of the region and once again made a deep postseason run, advancing to the Elite Eight of the GHSA State Tournament. Consistency has become the standard for this program, and this season was no exception. Coaches G. Holt and B. Holt continue to uphold a tradition of excellence. Although the season ended sooner than hoped, the future of the program remains bright.
