I actually continue to teach private music lessons in my home studio to about 25 students and parents a week. I understand the challenges we all face when it comes to teaching kids music because we know music is so healing, transforming and uplifting, but we don't know how to go about teaching it. How to we even choose the songs and fundamentals that go with it? I wrote a flute curriculum and a piano curriculum and I filmed so many great lessons for you, even some with my own children and my students, so you can see the lessons in action. 🍀A snapshot from Music Makers Monday as we celebrate St. Patrick’s Day. 😂 my cat, Roger, is on my shoulders. We met Alori’s cat, named Oreo St. Patrick and we also met Lolopop and lollipops mama in Willow’s family. Ironically, Alori’s cat is 1 year old today!! He was born on St. Patrick’s Day! Serena, my student helped me at the Atlanta Flute Club fair selling my pennywhistles and merch. She is an award winning Flute player and she instantly picked up the pennywhistle and was able to play. It was such joy to have her with me. She was playing all my original songs for my songs too, which made me so happy

🧊We have lots of great things planned for you to experience. I will be leading us in song. I am enjoying learning it myself. It’s called Country Life also known as I Like to Rise.

🧊It’s an English folk song about the four seasons and how much we love summer. You also get a recorder lesson, so bring your recorder or pennywhistle.

🧊You will be learning a song called Mother, Mother Earth. You will also get access to pre-recorded classes as a bonus. In my pre-recorded class, you learn how to write a simple song, as well as learn how to improv and be creative about “the winter storm.”

🧊If you are in The States, it’s really cold now and we just had a blast of a storm - it hasn’t been this cold in Georgia in a long time! We are covered in ice 🧊 ❄️🥶🧊

Wow!!! I’ve never heard a recorder player play this piece and this fast just for fun in his car. I learned this piece on silver Flute. It is called Bandinerie by JS Bach.  I do have a penny whistle in my car and play for fun when I’m waiting too! lol! My daughter has a pair of bongos in her car and we play them too. I guess we’re not the only ones who played instruments in our cars. Desy Sutikno show Emma!! I thought of y’all!!
