The HEALTHY PLACES RESEARCH GROUP (HPRG) is hosting Todd Schlesinger, vice president of JVION for a breakfast talk tomorrow morning 7:30am to 9:30am.
Schlesinger will present on how AI and Cognitive Science are changing the way healthcare data is used and how the insights are actioned. Using Eigen-based technology, JVION goes beyond high-risk patient populations to identify those on a trajectory to become high risk. More importantly, it is able to determine the interventions that will most effectively reduce risk and enable clinical action.

Freight transportation is important for the economy, but how does it affect health of communities living along freight routes?
CQGRD's Dr Arthi Rao presented findings from her assessment of the health impacts of freight in 2 international gateways - the City of Atlanta and Savannah, Georgia. Communities at risk of negative health impacts from freight activity were identified, and policies, physical changes and planning processes that mitigate health risks and improve freight activity’s economic payoff were proposed. A web-based tool was developed to visualize the relationship between health impacts, socioeconomic / demographic vulnerability, and pollutant concentrations along freight corridors.
