MOVE is organizing a dog and cat toy making event to make toys to be donated to local pet rescues! If you are interested in making dog/cat toys, please fill out the interest form (https://rb.gy/ubh9sk) or simply come pick up supplies! We will be distributing supplies in a socially distanced manner on Wednesday, October 14th from 8:00-10:00am and 2:30-5:00pm and on Thursday, October 15th from 9:00-11:00am and 2:30-5:00pm outside of the Pavilion, where the Student Engagement Offices are located. Everything you need to make the toys will be included, and a drop-off box for finished toys will be located in the Student Engagement Offices during the week of November 2nd-6th.

The COVID-19 outbreak and subsequent quarantine has isolated many of the children in Children's Healthcare of Atlanta. We, the Medical Assistance Committee of MOVE, are hoping to bring smiles to the children's faces by accepting handwritten cards and kind notes to uplift the residents of the hospital.

MOVE is an umbrella organization that is focused on developing and spreading service events. The MOVE Committee Chair and BOD applications are still open until Wednesday, April 15! The committee chairs are the leaders of one of MOVE's volunteer committees: Animal Welfare, Hunger & Homelessness, Sustainability, STEM & Education, Medical Assistance, and Special Projects. The BOD is a part of a group that manages all of MOVE's committees. If you are dedicated to bringing service to Tech, please consider joining! MOVE invites you to join them in a day of service at the History Oakland Cemetery! We are celebrating the many hours of service accumulated by the Georgia Tech community by ending the year with a fun service opportunity!
The Historic Oakland Foundation partners with the City of Atlanta to preserve, restore, enhance, and share Oakland Cemetery with the public as an important island of tranquility in the heart of the city.

Participants will join the Historic Oakland Foundation to assist with improvements and general upkeep of the gardens in this 48 acre park and historic site. Participants will lay sod and otherwise beautify the historic African American Grounds. Additional gardening tasks may be undertaken depending on the number of participants and the weather, including in our greenhouse.

Please join us as we help with the West Atlanta Watershed Alliance on Saturday, March 9th! We will be helping with a local community garden and lunch will be provided afterwards! If you are a Georgia Tech student, we will have free buses leaving campus (will announce meeting spot/time closer to date). This event is sponsored by the Global Leadership LLC but all GT students are welcome to attend!
