Westside Atlanta Charter School aspires to create a culture of service and leadership where students and educators grow in curiosity, critical thinking and creativity. This weekend our Science Olympiads competed in a variety of STEM events!! Our students placed in the top three for multiple events including the Gummy Bear Launch, Data Crunchers and more! We are so proud of our future scientists🧬🧪🥼

We closed out Black History Month with an incredible performance of “Who Am I?” directed by our very own Mrs. Taylor. Our Westside band, chorus and dancers came together to create a powerful celebration of history, identity, and excellence. We are so proud of all our talented students! ❤️

Avi and Hunter placed 1st and will be moving on to the 2026 Georgia Elementary Science and Engineering Fair! Shout out to Baker and Isabella for placing 2nd and 3rd!! Westside is the best side💙🩵💙

Last Wednesday, charter leaders from across the state met at the Capitol to discuss school budgets and student needs. We’re proud that Westside was represented and grateful for the opportunity to speak with our representative, Jaha Howard, about what matters most for our students!

This week is Kindness Week at Westside🩵🩵 Today’s theme is “walking in someone else’s shoes!” To celebrate, our students showed up in two different shoes as a reminder to lead with empathy, understanding and kindness towards others!
