June 24, 2013 - Powder Springs: Michael Keim trains for the Atlanta Journal-Constitution Peachtree Road Race on Tuesday, June 25, 2013. He will run to thank the mother who has given up her career to care for him. He will run for his older sister, who suspended her college education, to become the family’s mom. Lastly, he will run for the person he doesn’t know and the family he never met, but without whose decisions to donate lungs and bone marrow, Keim would likely already be dead. Creative and intimate, Hearts in Arts for SCID will open with and an artistically influenced fashion show like no other. Then our audience will experience the diversity of the arts from a wide range of artistically inclined people and groups. There will be vendors, the venue will be decorated with pieces from participating visual artists and the event will end with a silent auction of the pieces created live during the show. This year Hearts in Arts strives to raise $100,000 for this SCID case.
