Vickery Creek Middle

Vickery Creek Middle OFFICIAL facebook of Vickery Creek MS, located in Cumming, GA! VCMS, home of the Vipers, opened with 700 students in 1999.

It was named after the community, Vickery Creek, in which it is located. Vickery Creek is named after a Cherokee woman named Sharlot Vickery that lived in present-day Roswell and owned much of the land around the creek. The creek was originally called Cedar Creek; however, the name was changed to Vickery some time after the arrival of Roswell King and family in 1834. The building was a new constru

ction prototype, which has been replicated across the county multiple times and also modified into a two-story design. It received classroom additions and renovations in 2002.

Nominations for Teacher of the Month and Staff Member of the Month are now open. Our school is fortunate to have outstanding teachers and staff that work with our students each day. Every month during the 2026-27 school year, we will ask our VCMS families to help identify outstanding teachers as candidates for our Teacher and Staff Member of the Month program. Parents and/or students can complete the nomination form using the link below. Nominations will be accepted through the 20 th of each month.

Fall Fest will take place in the VCMS parking lot and all of our families are invited to attend. Bring your big/little siblings and come enjoy inflatables, food trucks, games, music, and more! The event is free to attend, but bring money to buy food if you wish.

Building the future, one truss at a time! 🛠️📐

Our 7th-grade engineers at Vickery Creek Middle School had a blast bringing their design concepts to life! Students put their STEM skills to work by drafting blueprints, measuring, cutting materials, and assembling intricate bridge models using wooden dowels, pins, and glue.

Seeing their problem-solving, collaboration, and creativity in action in the classroom is inspiring!
