Ghost stories aren’t for everyone. But they shouldn’t all be secluded to the month of October.

British author wrote a compelling, succinct story that involves an adopted child with a challenging past and an uncertain future. This story is great for students because it’s only a few pages long. Also, it enables students to clearly understand literary devices such as point of view, foreshadowing, suspense, and realistic dialogue. This short story is best suited for students ages 12 and up.
