The counting is complete and we raised $2,177.15 for the new playground! Congratulations to our class winners: PMO, Young 2's, Ms. Friederich's 5 Day 4's and Kindergarten. You will all be celebrating with a treat of your choice. Thank you to all the families who sent in donations!

Are you like me and still getting back into the routine after Spring Break? Our Pennies for Preschool boxes are still feeling a little light, so we've decided to extend it one more week. For those of you that have brought in your coins, bills & checks, we thank you! This money will be used toward new playground equipment. If you haven't had a chance to bring in your contribution, or your child hasn't collected as much as they would like, now you have one more week! The weather should be great this weekend to have a lemonade stand or do outdoor chores to earn money. Just bring in your donations by Friday, April 29th. Your child's class may even win a special party for earning the most money!

The money has been counted and everyone did a great job! I want to thank Fidelity Bank for letting us use their change machine without charging us a fee. We had so much change they had to stop and empty the machine once! Don't forget to come to the potluck on Thursday to hear which classes won!

Your donations are tax deductible, so if you would like to write a check for Pennies for Preschool just email one of the event chairs and we will coordinate getting a receipt to you!

Last week we heard some great suggestions for playground improvements. Maybe we'll use Pennies for Preschool donations for a Monster Slide or tire swings. Other ideas include more wood chips, shade, or climbing structures for two year olds. Let's see how many of these wishes we can fulfill!

Today we had the first ice cream party for one of our Pennies for Preschool winning classes. The 3 day 3's McHale-Downs class had a delicious celebration today for their snack time. How cute are they? Just look at those happy, messy, sweet faces! :) Congrats again!!

It is finally time to announce the winning classes of this Spring's Pennies for Preschool fundraiser!
Drumroll please...
PMO won for the heaviest coin box for the younger classes, 3 day 3's (McHale-Pickard/Downs) won for heaviest coin box for the older classes and the 5 day 3's (Adamson/Gutzke) raised the most money.
This very successful fundraiser raised over $1600 for DPCC!
Thank you all for the effort, enthusiasm and spare change, cash and checks you have given to this fundraiser! :)
