2026 Cadet Leadership Course at Georgia Military college is a wrap!! Ola High School cadets did fantastic! Regardless of the heat, CLC learning curve, stress, or lack of sleep, they dug in and never gave up. I saw some great leadership traits and a lot of smiles. Well done cadets, I’m proud of each of you!

Congratulations Cadet Reagin 💥 Georgia Army National Guard Positive Athlete Award Winner!!
Let me tell you something about this young man.
#1 - He’s #1 of 1600+ students at Ola HS in community service hours. He’s an absolute workhorse! If I need something done, it’s always “yes sir”. No questions, no hesitation.
#2 - He’s our unit Politician & Current Events POC. If I need to know what’s going on in the world, he’s my go to Cadet. If we need to recruit new cadets, he’s my go to recruiter — he can talk to anyone at anytime.
#3 - He’s a patriot and brings patriotism to our unit. *With a smile everyday. He’s my example to other cadets when I’m teaching pride, integrity, civic duty and work ethic.
#4 - Getting comfortable being uncomfortable; taking a chance and putting yourself out there! This is another lesson I’m constantly pushing on cadets and Jeremy has mastered this! Too many sports and clubs to list…. Most recently, he made the OHS Lacrosse Team, and was selected as our unit Physical Fitness Commander.
All I can say is keep doing you Jeremy. Grateful to have you in our Air Force JROTC family!!
Proudly,
Chief Gwyn

Congratulations Cadets!!
You have been selected as an Air Force JROTC Key Staff member or to a Key Leadership position for school year 26-27! Your selection was based not only on your performance in AFJROTC this year and adherence to our core values, but also your maturity, attention to detail, passion for JROTC, and ability to lead other cadets. If you are reading this and wondering wow, me? Yes!! It means even if you may not see it, I see something special in YOU!
What makes leadership special is that it’s a little different for everyone. Some are natural leaders, some have the ability to adapt to a leadership role (even when the situation changes), and some even surprise you (the ones that you wouldn’t think are leaders) and shine when placed into a leadership position (my favorite). It’s not easy at times, especially in this environment when you are leading peers, but I am 100% confident in your abilities, and I am here to help you every step of the way.
Just remember, leadership is defined as the ability to influence, INSPIRE, and guide individuals or teams toward achieving a common goal. Congratulations again! I look forward to working with you next year and my hope is that you bring something a little different to our Cadet Corps family that helps make our next school year even better than the last!
Proudly,
GREGORY A. GWYN II, CMSgt, USAF (Ret.)
