This week, first grade read a story titled "Suki's Kimono". The little girl, Suki, in the story loved wearing her beautiful kimono and teaching the children at school all about her Japenese culture. Several Japanese families graciously modeled their authentic kimonos to our first grade students so they could make a true connection to the story.

First graders in Miss Baldwin's class are studying basic science and measuring concepts. Students learned how to use a thermometer to take the temperature of water. The Kingdom came alive this week as we welcomed back our Knights and kicked off what promises to the best school year yet! Our respectful, responsible and problem solving students, greeted friends old and new, settled into classrooms, reviewed procedures and dove into a new year of striving for excellence! We are so happy to have them back!
