🚍 Do you know when you’re required to stop for a school bus in Georgia?

Here are a few rules every driver needs to remember:

🛑 When a school bus is stopped with red lights flashing and the stop arm out, you must stop in BOTH directions on:

Two-lane roads, Four-lane roads and Roads with a center turning lane

🚧 The only time you do NOT stop:
If there is a physical median separating you from the bus (grass, concrete, or barrier).

Why this matters 👇
Bus stops can be unpredictable. Children may cross unexpectedly, hesitate, or get confused and even when they’re taught safety rules. Stopping traffic in all directions gives them the time and space they need to get home safely.

⚠️ The consequences are serious:
Passing a stopped school bus can result in:

Up to $1,000 in fines and 6 points on your driver’s license

Take a moment. Look twice. Stop when required.
