SCLC DFACS Campaign - Protecting Georgia Most Vulnerable Citizens - 2016 Georgia ranks #6 in child abuse that lead to death. Its a tragedy whenever people responsible for keeping children safe don't do what they supposed to do.

DFACS is responsible for the care of each and every child once up under their care. Who is standing for all these children that are neglected, abused, and killed? In these last recent years for the first time, Georgia’s child-protection agency has been acknowledging “significant gaps” in its performance have contributed to the deaths of children under its supervision. A new report shows 180 childr

en in Georgia died in 2013 in the state's child protection agency care. Fulton and Dekalb recorded the most deaths of children whose families had DFACS histories. DFACS is the face of neglect, face of let down. Workers are trained more on keeping families together than protecting children- the welfare of the child is what is important. Did you know:

-70% of the children that in DFACS system in up end in the prison system
-Only 3% every go the college
-Continued pipeline from state custody to prison custody and we want this to stop.
-Children that are molested we want prosecution for the people who commit these crimes.
-Systemic failures have contributed to the deaths of children under its supervision
