The lack of real direction has a cost...
The amount of struggle I see stylists go through every single day... 💔
We could lessen that significantly in our industry if we JUST taught more theory.
Clearer theory. Deeper theory. And theory that actually connects to what we do with hair color. It's soooooo desperately needed.
It's edu that's nothing beyond what a hairdresser can handle. (They're really quite smart, you know.)
But so much of the theory that would cut yearsss off their trial and error would be massively cut.
The edu has been missing for a loooong time for so many. And if we don't do something about it, it will continue to be the same.
If you don't realize or think there's a problem, you either haven't consistently taught stylists color theory in a class setting, or you're missing some of it yourself, so it might feel like everyone's juuuust fine.
I'm gonna tell ya, they're not fine.
There's a whole heck of a lot of struggling going on out there.
We run into it every single day in our social scrolls, in the color check in results, and every in month in our live classes (new AND seasoned stylists)
And there ARE answers for them...but our "system" certainly doesn't make it easy to access.
It's certainly given a ton of quick answers that ultimately leave them on a hamster wheel for years.
It's why so most of the stylists that come to see us are over 10+ years in. They come to us TIRED 🥹
They want to be done with chasing answers ro their questions...
We've even had stylists up to 40+ years..
They're all asking the VERY SAME questions and getting stuck in the VERY SAME areas.

On your color journey, has it been easy or hard for you to find the answers you need?
Personally, I've had to fight like heck for years to get mine....doesn't have to be this way.
