We’ve normalized a version of success that looks good from the outside and feels terrible on the inside.
I see it every day.
People pushing through. Holding it all together. Calling it “just a busy season.”
The truth?
A lot of what gets labeled as success is just high-functioning burnout.
It looks impressive. It performs well.
But it isn’t sustainable, and it isn’t actually satisfying.
You don’t have to burn your career down. But you do need a more sustainable way of achieving.
That’s the work I do with my clients.
We keep the success and build a new way of operating that actually feels good.
If that’s what you’re ready for, reach out. Let’s see if executive coaching is a fit.

Yesterday, I wrapped up a coaching package with an executive client of mine, and I am beaming with joy for her.
When we started working together, she set five ambitious goals for herself.
🎉 In six short months, she hit ALL FIVE goals!
Even more impressive - she hit those goals and more than DOUBLED her level of satisfaction with her health and self-care.
That’s right …
👉 A busy executive woman hit her goals while improving her well-being and enjoying her life.
IT.IS.POSSIBLE.
This is exactly what my coaching is designed to do.
No more choosing a successful career or a happy, healthy life.
You can have both.
If you want career success without sacrificing your well-being, I would love to coach you. Book a consultation call at the link in the comments.
I’m currently offering one-on-one:
✅ Career Coaching
✅ Executive/Leadership Coaching
✅ Business Coaching & Consulting for Entrepreneurs

I just created a 30-minute talk with REAL solutions to identifying, preventing and healing burnout for one of my corporate clients.
Here's the biggest takeaway: Burnout doesn't happen overnight and it can't be healed overnight.
You can take your life and career back from burnout a little at a time - each day.
So, that vacation you were planning to use to try to "feel better" can just be vacation time - not burnout healing time.
Good news.

I really need you to know a few things:
- The way you make a living should light you up more than it burns you out
- It is possible for you to be successful AND satisfied
- Wanting more in your life and career doesn't make you ungrateful or selfish
If you want BIG success without sacrificing your mental, physical and emotional well-being, I want you to know it is possible.
I blend strategy, mindset and a little bit of woo to help my clients create big results in their businesses and careers WHILE loving their lives. It's possible, and I can help you.

LET ‘EM CRINGE!!
Excited about something? Post your updates and let ‘em cringe.
Have a business? Share your offers and let ‘em cringe.
Adore your children? Post alllll the pics and let ‘em cringe.
Have a quirky hobby? Share it and let ‘em cringe
Still swooning over your partner after all these years? Swoon and let ‘em cringe.
Here’s the thing about the cringers … 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐲 𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐧’𝐭 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐩𝐞𝐨𝐩𝐥𝐞.
And, if you pull back and hide from the cringers, 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐩𝐞𝐨𝐩𝐥𝐞 𝐜𝐚𝐧’𝐭 𝐟𝐢𝐧𝐝 𝐲𝐨𝐮.
Get out there - live and share as you please.
And don’t be afraid to let ‘em cringe.

Marketing should attract your dream clients and repel those who aren’t a fit.
This is reasonable advice, but it takes a couple of things:
1. Clarity. You need to be really clear who you want to work with and who you don’t.
2. Courage. You’ve got to be okay with displeasing some people. To repel people you don’t want to work with means you will say and do things that turn them off from your marketing. That means some people may not like your message. Become okay with that.
𝐐𝐔𝐄𝐒𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍: Based on my marketing, who do you think I love to work with in my business?
(If you are an entrepreneur, who do you want to attract and repel with your marketing?)

Reminder ...
More often than not, you are seeing the final phase of someone’s transformation – the end result.
What you are 𝐍𝐎𝐓 always seeing is everything it took to get there.
𝐘𝐨𝐮 𝐬𝐞𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐮𝐜𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐟𝐮𝐥 𝐛𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬.
You didn’t see the person mustering up the courage to start the business. The late nights and early mornings. The tears. The frustration. The highs of the honeymoon phase and the lows of the crash that often comes after. The failures.
𝐘𝐨𝐮 𝐬𝐞𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐩𝐡𝐲𝐬𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐚 𝐰𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐣𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐲.
You didn’t see the day-to-day decision making. The plateaus. The work it took to change mindsets. The early morning workouts. The patience and determination it took to not give up when results weren’t coming.
𝐘𝐨𝐮 𝐬𝐞𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐛𝐢𝐠 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐦𝐨𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧.
You didn’t see the late-night college courses. The extra work tacked on to an already busy schedule. The courageous conversations. The time spent practicing asking for the promotion. The sting of defeat when the first answer was, “no.”
It is very easy to look at someone and think they are an overnight success. Or they live under a lucky star.
The truth is – they just didn’t show you the whole journey. They were quietly doing their work and keeping focused on the transformation that would 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘶𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺 look like an overnight success to others.
If you are working toward your own transformation, be mindful not to fall into the trap of thinking this comes easier to 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺𝘰𝘯𝘦 𝘦𝘭𝘴𝘦.
Remember, you are inside 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 journey. You were not inside theirs.
And, you – just like they – have everything it takes to get where you want to go.
P.S. – The space between your decision to transform and the end transformation is the 𝐞𝐱𝐚𝐜𝐭 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐞 𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐈 𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐡𝐞𝐥𝐩 𝐲𝐨𝐮. If you want support, accountability and a partner to help you create your transformation, you would be a great fit to coach with me. Happy International Women's Day! 🌟
Four years ago, I soft launched Erin Meadows Coaching on International Women’s Day.
The choice of day was VERY intentional.
While I was still working on some of the finer details of my business, I knew one thing for sure: I was committed to helping women get more of what they want in their lives and careers.
More joy. More success. More well-being. More money. More opportunity. More fun. More freedom. More autonomy. More connection ... you name it, I want you to have more of it!
That was my mission in 2020. And, it is still my mission today.
To celebrate today, I want to lean into my mission and share with you a few important truths:
❤️ Wanting more in your life and/or career does not make you selfish or ungrateful.
❤️ You are worthy of the things you desire in your life.
❤️ You deserve so much more than the burnout, overwhelm, stress and disappointment you might be feeling these days.
❤️ It is NEVER too late for you to create the life and career of your dreams.
❤️ The things you dream of are meant for you. Otherwise, they never would have popped into your heart and mind.
Today is a day to celebrate yourself. To believe in yourself. To listen for the other women cheering you on (believe me, they are out there).
And, if you can’t hear their voices, please hear mine: You have everything it takes to create a life and career that feels amazing to you. I believe in you. I believe in your dreams. And, I believe in your ability to bring those dreams to life.
Find your courage and take your first step.
Life is calling you, and you are capable of – and allowed to – answer.
I’m cheering for you, you absolute star of a human being!
With Admiration,
Erin

Just popping in to remind you that not every problem you are experiencing in life and business is a mindset problem.
And, I'd be cautious of anyone who tries to make every problem you have a mindset problem.
Yes, mindset matters. Mindset work is important and life-changing.
And also ... that is not always the problem or the answer.
This is important for everyone, but I really hope my fellow coaches who are building businesses and believing they just need to clean their thoughts up to succeed feel seen, heard and helped by this post.

Earlier in the year I was feeling a bit meh – probably my least favorite way to feel. Nothing felt terrible, but things weren’t feeling super joyful either.
I noticed I kept thinking back to my birthday trip to the mountains in December.
We rented a beautiful home perched right beside a river. I spent days luxuriating in friendship, rest and reading. The soundtrack of the week was a mix of Wham!, Taylor Swift and Christmas music (this was no accident). And, the kicker ... we welcomed each sunrise and sunset with no fewer than 10 deer arriving at our doorstep.
It was a joyful trip, and in my moments of meh I just wanted to go back there.
That trip was macro-joy.
Vacations, holidays, weddings, baby showers, promotions, spa days ... all macro-joy in my mind.
I love macro-joy. But, I can’t do it every day.
When I lean on macro-joy too much (e.g., living from vacation to vacation), I tend to feel meh in between.
So, a few weeks ago, I decided to start micro-dosing ... on joy.
I made an effort every day to notice the small things that delight me.
The chipmunks and birds in my yard.
Snuggles from Zoe the shi tzu.
Swapping the wildest memes with that one friend who always get it.
The pink sunsets and cycles of the moon.
These aren’t big trips or new cars, but they bring me joy.
And, joy – no matter how big or small – has a compounding effect that can take your life from meh to magical.
When we micro-dose joy, we give ourselves easy access to it anywhere, anytime.
If you want to micro-dose with me, here’s how to get started:
⭐️ Consider Joy: Grab a piece of paper and brainstorm everything (no matter how small) that brings you joy. Is it a baby’s laugh? Cat videos? Your morning walk? Your afternoon cup of tea? Your weekly text with your bestie? There are no right or wrong answers – the goal is to take note of the smallest things that make you joyful.
⭐️ Catch Joy: Go through your day taking note when the things on your list show up. Also, take note of other things that make you smile, laugh, breathe easier, feel excited, etc. These things are brining you joy each day. Now is the time to catch them and pay attention to them.
⭐️ Claim Joy: At the end of your day, jot down the joy you caught. Claim it as yours. Leave a record of it in your journal, your notes app or on a post it. Revisit those notes to remind yourself of the joy you experience.
This couldn’t be any easier – just consider, catch and claim joy. You’ll feel better now, and those macro-moments will be even sweeter when it is their time to shine!

Last year, I started taking daily walks and I shared updates of the journey along the way. Anyone who was paying close attention likely picked up on a few key phrases I was using:
“I am becoming a woman who takes exceptional care of herself.”
“I move my body for my mental health.”
“I am a woman who moves her body every day.”
Now, at first glance, you might think, “Ah, she’s just trying to exercise more.” And, you wouldn’t be entirely wrong, but it’s deeper than that.
My goal wasn’t just to rack up more steps or hit the gym more often; it was about shifting my identity.
I wanted to transition from someone who saw herself as sedentary and loathed physical activity to someone who prioritized self-care and embraced daily movement as part of her routine.
And you know what? It worked.
For months, I had a hunch that something was changing within me. I started to genuinely believe different things about myself.
But it wasn’t until the end of the year, when I fell ill with multiple bouts of COVID and frequent migraines, that I truly realized the power of this shift.
In the past, such disruptions would have spelled the end of my newfound habit. I would have thrown in the towel and resigned myself to defeat.
But not this time. This time was different.
Because I wasn’t just building a habit – I was cultivating a new identity.
As I strolled on my morning walk yesterday, I reflected on the things I did differently this time that 'made the habit stick'.
Here's those things (and how you can do them, too):
1. Define Your Desired Identity: Take some time to reflect on the person you want to become. What are the core values and beliefs that define this version of yourself? By clarifying your desired identity, you lay the foundation for meaningful habits. A simple way to do this is to fill in the blank: “I am becoming someone who ________.”
2. Start Small, Stay Consistent: Focus on implementing small, achievable actions that align with your desired identity. Whether it’s a daily walk, a few minutes of meditation, or a nutritious breakfast (all things I’ve worked on), consistency is key. Celebrate each small win as evidence of your commitment to your new identity.
3. Embrace Resilience: Expect setbacks along the way; they’re a natural part of the journey. Instead of viewing them as failures, see them as opportunities to reaffirm your commitment to your identity. Adapt, learn, and keep moving forward, knowing that each challenge strengthens your resolve.
Remember, it’s not just about what you do; it’s about who you become in the process. So, dare to envision the best version of yourself and take intentional steps to bring that vision to life.
Also ... if you want help envisioning that version of yourself, download my FREE Ultimate Life Upgrade Workbook (linked below). It is one of my all-time favorite tools I use on my own journey, and I’m offering you a FREE, no-strings attached coaching session when you download. It’s a win-win situation, my friend!
