The 2026 Empower mini retreat started with a nature walk (joined by an uninvited but welcomed guest 🦌).

Physical activity is so important for unleashing your best executive functioning. Exercise improves core executive functions like working memory, cognitive flexibility, and inhibitory control. We don’t just recommend the strategies we use with students — we use them to help ourselves too!

After walking in the woods, we sat down to hammer out some exciting plans for our upcoming school year — for our students, schools, and other academic coaches.

Enjoy your last few weeks of summer. We will be ready for you in August!
