🚨 The workforce crisis is not a talent shortage. It is a systems failure.
We built technology faster than we built pathways. We automated jobs before we reskilled people. We celebrated innovation while quietly leaving entire communities behind.
And then we called it a pipeline problem.
Here is what the data actually says: 87% of executives report a skills gap — yet organizations keep funding training programs with 70–90% knowledge retention failure rates. They keep building programs. The gap keeps growing. That is not a pipeline failure. That is a systems alignment failure. (McKinsey Global Survey)
It is not a pipeline problem. It is an alignment problem — and alignment requires everyone in the room.
I am Dr. Maxine Cain — Founder & CEO of STEM Atlanta and MGC Consulting. I have spent ten years watching this gap grow from the inside. I built the Futurist 2030: Generation G Summit because I ran out of patience for the conversation.
On July 9, 2026, we are fixing that. 👇
The Generation G Summit brings together the leaders who shape hiring, the talent who drives performance, and the technology that multiplies both — in one room, with one mandate: stop diagnosing the problem and start building the solution. www.futurist2030.com
This is not a conference where you collect business cards and go home unchanged.
This is the room where the blueprint gets written.
✅ If you are a corporate leader who is tired of the gap — come close it.
✅ If you are a talent professional who is tired of being overlooked — come claim your seat.
✅ If you are building the future of work — come show us what you have built.
The future does not wait for consensus. It rewards the ones who move.
💬 What is the one thing you wish corporations understood about the talent in this market right now? Drop it in the comments — I read every one.

and the : What We’re Building in Georgia!
What happens when community trust, data-informed wellness, and access-driven innovation converge.
As a professional working across Atlanta and the state of Georgia, I’ve always believed in the power of innovation to change lives. Now, I’ve stepped into one of the most exciting and emerging spaces of our time: Wellness Tech.
More than 200,000 families across the state remain uninsured, navigating wellness decisions with limited access to education, tools, and economic flexibility. At the same time, many capable professionals are facing career disruption, income instability, or a growing misalignment between how they work and how they want to live.
Introducing the Georgia Goes Vital Initiative
Recently in Atlanta, we formally launched the Georgia Goes Vital Initiative — a focused, community-centered effort built on two interconnected priorities:
1. Wellness education
Expanding access to practical, understandable tools and information that help individuals make informed, proactive wellness decisions.
2. Income opportunity
Creating flexible, ethical pathways for individuals seeking additional or alternative income — particularly those navigating job loss, transitions, or lifestyle realignment.
Where Wellness Tech Fits In
sits at the intersection of natural science, data, and accessibility.
As part of this work, we are developing —professionals trained to use simple, non-invasive assessment tools to support personalized wellness conversations and guide informed next steps.
These tools are not diagnostic, and they are not replacements for medical care. Their value lies in education, awareness, and engagement — helping people become more informed participants in their own wellness journey.
As Wellness Tech continues to emerge as a meaningful segment of the $7 trillion global wellness economy, the opportunity — and responsibility — to lead this work thoughtfully is significant.
This is not about chasing a market. It’s about shaping how innovation shows up in real communities.
A Thoughtful Invitation
If you are a:
- Health-conscious parent
- Healthcare professional, educator, or wellness advocate
- Entrepreneur seeking alignment and diversification
- Business leader interested in the Luxury Wellness Tech experience
- Or someone rethinking how wellness, work, and purpose intersect
This initiative may be worth a closer look.

The future of work is being shaped right now — and wellness will be part of that story, whether we design it intentionally or not.

STEM Atlanta is proud to share—as highlighted by Mayor Andre Dickens—that Atlanta has been named the #2 Best City for STEM Jobs in 2026.
This recognition reflects years of intentional investment in talent, education, and access. For over a decade, I’ve had the honor of building and stewarding STEM Atlanta as a formal, place-based pipeline—working alongside partners across the city to translate opportunity into real outcomes for our people.
Atlanta continues to lead with strong job growth, competitive earnings, and access to world-class tech education, creating clear pathways from learning to careers.
Strong jobs. Strong talent. Strong quality of life.
From recreation to culture to community, Atlanta keeps showing the country what’s possible when a city invests intentionally—and leads with clarity—into its future.

AI in the Wild: Atlanta | Private. Invitation-only. Executive table.
This week, I had the honor of joining senior CX and workforce leaders for an AI in the Wild Executive Dinner hosted at The St. Regis Atlanta—a five-star, Michelin-level dining experience designed to match the depth of the conversation.
No panels. No pitches. Just candid dialogue about what AI actually means in the wild for leadership, talent strategy, and workforce transformation.
I shared perspectives on:
• AI-driven workforce design
• Early-career talent readiness
• The durable skills required to thrive between now and 2030
In an agentic AI world, hiring shifts from:
“Can you do the task?”
to
“Can you think, decide, communicate, and lead under autonomy?”
I also shared that in an agentic AI world; durable skills are not soft skills — they are control systems. That’s the human operating system for the future of work.
Thank you, Juanita Coley, VP of WFM & CX Strategy at Solid Rock Consulting, for curating such an elevated executive experience—and to Anthony E Tuggle, CEO of TAG US Worldwide, for grounding the conversation in real-world leadership insight.
This is where future-of-work strategy is happening. Quietly. Thoughtfully. At the table where decisions are made.
