How do you make changes in your life?
Some situations in life benefit from big bold actions. Others require the wisdom of small measured steps.
As family caregivers, our responsibilities can become overwhelming and we want the relief of a quick fix. More times than not, breaking a problem down into small manageable actions will be more effective in getting you what you need.
So, think about a change that you'd like to see. Now ask yourself, "What small step can I take to move in that direction?" Then go for it and the next one and the next one.

CARING FOR THE CAREGIVER
Caregiver "self-care" should not be solely on the shoulders of the caregivers. Yes, there are those things that have to be done by them, but caregivers also need compassion, understanding and action from others to insure their wellbeing.
If you are a caregiver, ask for what you need.
Not currently caregiving? If you know someone who is, ask how you can support their self-care efforts.
Whatever your status...you CAN do it! ❤
