My daughter is presently attending college and I was looking for a tutor to assist her during the summer in General Chemistry I and Calculus II. And more than just helping him understand the specific problems he was having trouble with, she worked to fix the real problem...his study habits. Carol would typically bring in additional material to her weekly hour of tutoring our son, so he was able to see things from different angles. She would also look at online resources on her own time so that she could better understand what the teacher was instructing, and would then merge her own approach into the process.
